Many were expecting to hear about the upcoming remastered game's release date during the Japan-based event Jump Festa 2018 that happened earlier this month, but the "Final Fantasy VII" remake was a no-show in the said affair. However, developers did not confirm a specific date even after several major gaming trade shows occurred in 2017. Square Enix initially announced that the release of the high-definition remaster of "Final Fantasy VII" for PlayStation 4 would take place earlier this year. There are only a few days left before 2017 ends but Square Enix is still mum on the release date of the anticipated "Final Fantasy VII" remake. People play video game 'Final Fantasy XV' at Tokyo Game Show 2016 in Chiba, east of Tokyo, Japan, September 15, 2016.
